ABOUT THE STAFF

SCOT MUSSI
President & Executive Director
Scot Mussi is President of the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing a pro-growth, limited government agenda in Arizona.
While serving as President, the Free Enterprise Club has secured numerous policy and legal victories in the state, including historic income tax cuts, expanded school choice, comprehensive election integrity reforms and protections of our property and free speech rights.
Mr. Mussi has spent nearly 20 years working to expand and unify the conservative movement in Arizona, and currently serves on the board of the AZ Liberty Network and AZ Freedom Foundation.
Scot is an Arizona native and graduated from Arizona State University in 2004. He currently lives in Gilbert with his wife Kirsten and four children.

AIMEE YENTES
Vice President
Aimee Yentes is a native-born Arizonan who grew up in Tempe and Gilbert, Arizona. She is a Graduate of Arizona State University, W.P Carey School of Business with a degree in Business Communications.
She has enjoyed working in a variety of professional capacities and environments including private small business, in government, and in the non-profit sector. In all her positions she has enjoyed helping improve people’s lives.
Aimee has worked for The Arizona Free Enterprise Club since 2015 where she gets to help craft and promote good public policy at the state level.
She was also elected to serve on the Town Council for the town of Gilbert between 2018-2022.
Aimee lives with her husband Justin, 12-year-old step daughter Kloe, 2 year old daughter Ivy and 11M old daughter Hazel and their goldendoodle Bo in Gilbert.

DARLA GONZALEZ
Darla Gonzalez has been a dedicated advocate for political activism since 1988, starting her journey in Oregon before moving to Arizona in 2004. In 2010, she returned to college and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ottawa University, with the intent of working in the non-profit sector. In 2017, after witnessing the indoctrination of her children in public schools, Darla joined the Arizona freedom movement, igniting her passion for protecting the values enshrined our U.S. Constitution.
Since 2020, Darla has served as the Grassroots Director for the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, and in 2023, she expanded her impact by taking on the additional role of Executive Director for the AZ Liberty Network. Darla is driven by the belief that it is essential to empower every Arizonan to understand the significance of their voice and to ensure they are equipped with the truth. She is dedicated to preventing radical leftist ideologies from infiltrating Arizona, enabling both Arizonans and future generations to thrive and create a brighter future for all.
Darla and her husband also have a business that supports non-profit ministries addressing critical issues such as human trafficking, clean water, foster care, and homelessness. A devoted follower of Jesus, she cherishes authentic relationships and enjoys exploring Arizona and gaming with her husband and family.

LouAnn Sedgwick
LouAnn Sedgwick serves as the Development Director at the Arizona Free Enterprise Club & AZ Liberty Network.
With an extensive background spanning three decades, LouAnn has dedicated her career to grassroots organizing and development. Her diverse experience extends across various realms, including political initiatives, community-based organizations, leadership teams, boards, and school groups.
In addition to her role as a precinct and state committeeman (PC/SC) and previous leadership roles in Legislative District 13, LouAnn has also served as the Treasurer for the Chandler Republican Women, and Secretary for the Chandler Girls Softball league.
Residing in Arizona for the past 18 years with her husband, LouAnn is the proud mother of three daughters. Outside of her professional and community engagements, she finds joy in activities such as hiking, paddle boarding, and maintaining her proficiency in firearms. She takes pride in knowing that she has tirelessly worked to safeguard the well-being of her state and country while championing the principles of freedom for generations to come.

Greg Blackie
Greg Blackie is originally from Tennessee and moved to Arizona in 2016 to attend Arizona State University. He graduated from ASU in 2019 summa cum laude with a B.S in Political Science. During his last semester, Greg was a full-time policy intern at the Arizona House of Representatives for the Republican caucus.
Before joining the Club, Greg worked with small businesses in Scottsdale and northern Phoenix for the UPS Small Package SMB unit, followed by full time political tracking with America Rising where he covered many Arizona campaigns during the 2020 election cycle.

April Smith
April Smith serves as the Director of Field Operations for the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, where she works closely with grassroots communities to educate, inspire, and mobilize civic engagement. Her role allows her to connect with Arizonans across the state, and she finds great fulfillment in discovering wonderful people and places beyond the East Valley, where she has lived her whole life.
As a lifelong learner, she has balanced her studies with family and other responsibilities and has pursued a wide range of educational opportunities over the years. She recently achieved a long-standing goal by earning her degree in Computer Information Technology from Brigham Young University–Idaho. April has volunteered extensively within her church and the political sphere and seeks ways to give back to her community.
April and her husband, Shawn, are Arizona natives, and are the proud parents of eight children—five girls and three boys. April believes that strong families are the foundation of a thriving society. She cherishes time spent traveling with her family, her favorite being a few road trips they have taken in motorhomes, and enjoys playing games, capturing memories through photography, and creating lasting moments together.

Rhonda Smith
Administrative Assistant
Rhonda is originally from California, where she retired from Chevron Overseas Petroleum Inc. and relocated with her husband to the United Kingdom before moving to Arizona. She had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom while raising their daughter, who recently graduated college. Prior to joining the Arizona Free Enterprise Club in 2021, Rhonda was the Director of Administration for a large church in Phoenix.
She has been active in politics in her legislative district and local women’s clubs for over a decade. Rhonda taught the U.S. Constitution in charter schools as a volunteer teacher with CITC. She has served on the board of non-profit organizations advocating for education and improving the lives of children.
Rhonda graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. She and her husband have lived in Ahwatukee Foothills for 21 years.
